Medicine

All medicine must be clearly marked with the child’s name. Parents will be asked to sign a consent slip. Staff will only accept prescribed drugs. On collection of your child you will need to sign the medicine book to confirm the medicine was administered.

Illness

Parents are requested to keep their child away from nursery until they are fully recovered from any illness. In the case of vomiting and stomach upsets 48 hours should be allowed after the disappearance of the symptoms.

Please inform the nursery if your child is not going to attend due to any illness.

Accidents and Incidents

If your child is involved in an accident while at the nursery you will be notified when you return to collect your child and asked to sign an accident book. If an accident requires medical attention, every effort will be made to contact you at the time of accident. However a consent form will allow staff to take appropriate actions in case of an emergency.

If your child comes to nursery with an injury, the parent will be asked to sign the incident book to confirm the incident happened outside the nursery.
